Abel got his strider (KTM) bike from Grandpa and Grandma this past christmas, but just really started riding it over the last few weeks. At the beginning of March, Mike or I had to help keep him balanced on the bike. By the third week of the month, he was officially striding! It probably doesn't hurt that he is getting a lot of practice- averaging two rides per day. His favorite place to ride? The quad of the University a few blocks from our house. He is "poppin wheelies", going "faster faster!!", barreling over gravel, grass, mulch and boulders. If you want to see Abe in action, stop by. You can't miss him. He'll be the kid wearing a bright yellow helmet covered in chickens*, waving to all the coeds.
* Abel was faced with the tough decision of picking out his own helmet. The chickens NARROWLY won over the ferocious shark and the purple bunnies.
He looks so in control and comfortable. A real hoot is Abel checking himself out in the window's reflection.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get one for Reagan's birthday!!!
ReplyDeleteso adorably cute. and i truly do love how he loses a little focus when he realizes that's him in those windows!
